The Web Extends its Reach to Me

I

t may surprise some of you that I have always had a dislike of computers, especially since I have worked with them for so many years. Some of my friends and colleagues use Portable Data Administrators (PDAs), Palmtop Calculator/Computers, Intelligent Agent Telephony Equipment, and all kinds of gizmos. Not me, I prefer the time tested pen and paper method.

Welcome to the 21st Century. Although the Internet has been around for quite a while, only recently has it become truly usable.

Cases in point - just during the past few weeks, I posted queries on the net for rescuing my Broncho, a want-ad for skis and boots, help with Windows95, and invitations to a seminar. All had resounding success - the Broncho is safely back home thanks to fifty 4x4 trucks that showed up with people willing to help; I found the perfect skis and accessories and saved 65%; fixed

critical computer errors; and had twelve extra people attend a seminar that would not have known about it otherwise. Thats what I like.

However, I do find myself spending way too many hours learning and reading on the web, at the expense of all the things I am supposed to be doing. Next year, if I have time, I will try to put this newsletter on a home page.

New Office

I

opened a regional office in Downtown Denver recently. Still spoiled by having the luxury of working from my home for almost 10 years now, I plan to spend time equally in my home office, Downtown location and traveling. The office has a spectacular view of Downtown, the State Capital and the Rocky Mountains. I cant wait to be on the 19th floor during a typical Colorado storm.

A Time for Thanks

As you can see from the next article on our activities during 1996, we have had a wonderful year. Never goes by a day that we dont appreciate our family, friends and good times.

Thanks to Howard, Gary and Wendy, Paul, and Rick and Laura for coming to visit. We want more company. Ski season is open!

May all of your dreams come true.

Season's Greetings
