Aunt Phyllis in Chico

A New Beginning

A

fter a lifetime in Brooklyn, NY, Aunt Phyllis (my grandfathers sister) decided to move to Chico, CA. Mom and Dad found her a beautiful apartment and decorated it like a little palace.

Everyday they get together and, of course, have Sunday family meals together. I know Aunt Phyllis is happy with her move. In fact, she sang California, Here I Come on the airphone to Aunt El.

Mom and Dad have a little casita in Chico, and now, so does Aunt Phyllis.

The Wonders of Europe

Text Box:

ew Years in London will always be remembered. We visited castles and made a brief stop at Elton Johns house. Then, Ros prepared the group with martinis in glasses that took two hands to lift them. We played a drinking game where failure to pay close attention resulted in a penalty. I dont remember too much of the night, but we have videotape of Doug crooning; Ros reciting poetry; and me wearing womens undergarments over my clothes. Im sure we must have had a good time that night.

The Merrills took us all over London and Southwest Britain. We visited an old Roman town in the UK called Bath. We toured the torture chambers and estate rooms of Warwick Castle and other impressive sites.

Dianna and I took trains into Scotland and France. Sampling fine Scotch was the perfect way to warm up on a snowy Scottish night before retiring to the beautiful Balmoral Palace.

We toured all over Paris and time ran short; so, we did not get to visit the South of France. We did manage to capture our trip on 6 hours of videotape! It is an awesome feeling to stand in buildings that served the lifestyles of people hundreds to thousands of years ago.

What Dianna Means to Me!

ven after 15 years (this coming March), I still consider myself the luckiest man alive for having met Dianna Sue. She endures my countless jokes about marriage; turns our house into a home; and fills my heart with love and happiness!

YYYYYYYYYYYY

Dianna, Gogo, Uncle Johnny, Michael and Auntie painted our house this year. With the skill of professionals, they sealed joints and protected the house from the elements. The house looks beautiful with its new coat of paint. Thanks for all the hard work and for doing such a great job.

July 4th Reunion Party

Second Annual Family & Friends Reunion 99

W

e all had so much fun during the family reunion in Loveland, that the group unanimously agreed to hold the event annually. Of course there is so much preparation that goes into a reunion that we all need to start thinking about it now. Where will we hold it? When? Who will be able to make it next year???

Jason and Arno thought they were coming to relax at a party instead, they got stuck cooking for hours. The food was terrific. Next year, theyll have to recruit others so they can spend more time enjoying the party. However, they need to pass on their barbecuing secrets before well relieve them of their duties.

Uncle Joe surprised all of us with his ability to win every game in bocce ball. We captured on videotape several tosses he made that made him the bocce champion.

Thanks to all of you who made our reunion and 4th of July party so much fun. We hope you can make it again for the 2nd annual event.

How do you get an invitation? Hint: If you received this newsletter, you are already invited! Dianna and I want more company in CO. Call or email us today. Act now. Call now. Youll be glad you did.

May all of your dreams come true.
