e had another terrific
vacation in Kauai with the Girons, Scott Roberts and friends. Kayaking on the river, swimming with Ashley,
the Luau, and totally relaxing to the waves and the striking blue and green
water crashing against lava rocks were my favorite things we did. But, playing
golf with Ricky was the best. We look
forward to playing golf in Honolulu with Kob this January and visiting Kauai
again with the Girons.

untie Rosa went to heaven
this June, and she left so many people behind who miss her very much. I am grateful for the time I spent with her
drinking her coffee and eating her freshly made tortillas. Auntie enjoyed my cooking too, though she
said I didnt cook frequently enough.
El Sabe.

oug and Ros packed up the kids and moved to Ft.
Collins neighboring Loveland. I got
to watch the boys in October and we played baseball, watched movies, did some
serious 4-wheeling (even the monster Dodge got stuck), played golf and had so
much fun together.

ianna and Paul
were rescued by 2 Spiderman superheros when Freddie Krugar stopped by. Then, Shrek agreed to escort 2 baseball
players through the dark, snowy night to get all the candy they deserved.

Aunt
Phyllis loved living in CA. Mom &
Dad and Gary gave her so many memories and made her laugh so much winning the
Halloween contest, drinking beer at the brewery, lounging by the pool, singing
songs.
Rest in Peace

Highlights of 2002
Danny
Boy and I drove the back- country roads to his Tahoe cabin. We skied with Dean
and Kelly, hiked through the snow and had the best London Broil dinner with
Dean's special marinade. Skiing powder was too much of a challenge for me,
right Brian?
Stretch
limo ride to Denver with Dianna for Valentine's Day and the Rodriguez boys night
out at Dave and Busters were February highlights.
Mom
& Dad's crab cioppino feast with the Macklins, Levisons and Schwendlers,
and spaghetti and meatballs with Dana, Jerre and the boys - they are gonna get
more bear-crushers when I see them.
Dianna
and I spent the weekend at Banff and Lake Louise. While quite cold, we enjoyed
ice skating on the frozen lake and looking at the ice sculptures. Lake Louise
skiing was AWESOME - when you reach the top, you see a whole series of Canadian
Rocky Mountains that will take your breath away.
Met
up with Kob on his annual Vegas get-away and Danny Boy, Sully and I had a great
time. Desert golf, great shows, and the Big Shot were thrilling.
Great
dinner at Kincaids with Dr. Telco and RP - sharing memories of the Vortex.
Catching
up with George Kohli over dinner.
Had
a spectacular golf game at Marianna Buttes with Barry and his friends. Would
like to live that day over and over again.
I
missed Laceys graduation, but we got to celebrate afterwards. Good luck in college!
Got
to see Nic "the Baron" graduate high school.
I
visited the DiSantos and saw Joseph Jr. ride horses, Dianna win her softball
game, and spent time with Joey and Geri. Mario and Jackie had a graduation
party for their Joseph and we talked all about our passion for movies. Louie D.
shared some great stories and Mario ran the bbq like clockwork. It was a joy to
see all of you. The next day, Joey and I went to a 30-yr elementary school
reunion. WOW! It was almost unbelievable to step back in time with people I
haven't seen since 1971.
Off-road
2002 with J-Man, Big Mac, Traveldick, Pud, Squirrel, Stu and Thrasher. We took
Kelly Flats and Heart-attack Hill. Lee powered the Bronco III up the Chutes!
Next day we played on Moody Hill and Crystal Mountain, defying gravity at my
rock garden. Thanks for the group shirts, Cris.
Garys
2nd Annual Labor Day party was AWESOME! So many good friends showed up.
We spent hours in the pool swimming, lying on rafts and cooling
off. Thanks Mom and Dad for the
delicious food!
Paul
will have a match play golf contest with Danny Boy this month. Bragging rights will be shared in next
years newsletter.

an and JoJo had a beautiful boy on October 14th. I am honored that they asked me to be
Matthieus godfather. I got to meet
their friends Ray and Shawna over a delicious dinner that Dan cooked. His tuna and anchovy pasta dinner was out of
this world. Ive stolen his recipe.
Thanksgiving Dinner at our house was so much
fun. Michaels deep-fried turkey and my
special marinade Turkey in a bag were delicious. Plus, mom told me how to make her outrageously delicious
stuffing! I must have gained 30 pounds
eating so much food.
We had a great day of skiing at Winter Park and Mary
Jane, on Saturday after Thanksgiving.
The weather was warm and the snow was good. Scott was a knuckle-dragger, while Trevor and the old folks were
2-plankers.
We surprised mom and dad with dinner and a show in
San Francisco for moms birthday and my parents wedding anniversary (Dec.
4.) Julius Castle restaurant offers
indescribable views of the Golden Gate, Angel Island and the enchanting SF Bay. Jackie Mason had all of us laughing to his
high-energy comedy.
Dianna and I will spend the Christmas week in
Granite Bay with my parents and family.
We cant wait for the annual Christmas party with the Macklins,
Levisons, Forsbergs, et al.
Then, for the week of New Years, Ros found a house
in Breckenridge for the Dorans, Merrills and Panepintos. We will go skiing, snow mobiling and playing
in the winter fun! Then, we will warm
up with the Kobs, Girons, and Scott Roberts in Hawaii.
We wish all of you the happiest and healthiest year
ever!
